RetailBricks exists because the retail industry deserves tools built by people who understand the business — not Silicon Valley generalists building for every industry at once.
Dennis Price is a retail strategist with over 40 years of experience across shopping centre management, retail operations, marketing, and consulting. He holds a DComm and MBA and has held academic positions at Macquarie Graduate School of Management (MGSM), the University of Wollongong (UoW), and the Australian Institute of Business (AIB).
His career spans centre management roles at JLL, GPT, and Lend Lease — three of Australia's largest property groups. He has consulted to Stockland, QIC, Mirvac, the Property Council of Australia, and dozens of independent retailers and franchise networks.
Dennis has been a regular columnist for Inside Retail Australia since 2007, and is the author of multiple books on retail strategy and business. He is a serial entrepreneur, having founded Ganador (consulting and coaching), Commex AI, Uncle Joes & Java Jack and now RetailBricks.
He describes himself as a "certified contrarian" — someone who builds from first principles, questions conventional wisdom, and values structured knowledge over gut instinct. That philosophy is embedded in every RetailBricks product.

Physical retail is not dying. But it is underserved by the tools available to it. The software industry builds for eCommerce, for SaaS, for digital-first businesses. Bricks-and-mortar retailers are left with generic tools that don't understand their operating model, their cost structures, or their competitive dynamics.
"Every RetailBricks product is built on structured knowledge, not assumptions. We know who your customer is, what they need to hear, and how to say it before a single ad is written."
RetailBricks was founded on a simple premise: the people who run physical retail — store owners, centre managers, retail accountants, landlords — deserve purpose-built tools that reflect the way their businesses actually work.
That means benchmarking against real retail peers, not generic industry averages. Advertising strategy grounded in brand knowledge, not creative guesswork. Learning built by practitioners who've managed stores and centres, not academics who've only studied them. And operations tooling designed for store-level execution, not enterprise IT departments.
We call it RetailOS — one operating system for bricks-and-mortar retail. Six products, one platform, one philosophy: structured knowledge over gut feel.
The RetailBricks platform is built around three layers: LEARN, OPERATE, LEVERAGE — each layer powered by a dedicated product in the RetailBricks suite.
Dennis Price has consulted to some of Australia's largest property groups, retail networks, and industry bodies.
